Kate Power has been a contra dance caller for many years in Central Ohio contra dance groups, where dancers share their passion for this traditional early American folk dance, with roots in New England and Appalachia, and the British Isles before that. Kate will lead festival-goers in the basic moves of contra dancing, with experienced dancers partnering to encourage new folks to try contra dancing to live Celtic music!
