The McIans

The McIans play modern and traditional Celtic music in the vein of Flogging Molly, the Pogues, Dropkick Murphy’s, and other Celtic punk and rock favorites. Formed in the early 2000s by members of local cover band Six Pack Theory, the McIans have performed all around Ohio. The McIans were formed and are fronted by Brian Kerr McIan, who emigrated 16 years ago to Ohio from his native Paisley (Glasgow), Scotland. Having played in several successful and longstanding bands in and around central Ohio for the past 16 years, he formed the McIans with a desire to promote Celtic music and to fill a void in the local music scene. Joining him is Steve Stinchcomb McIan on drums and Ken Kress McIan on bass – who also play with Brian in Six Pack Theory – and Rob Whittington McIan on fiddle.
